Last year, a number of readers reached out to me, offering financial support for Torah Musings. I am grateful for the offers and, more than that, the kind thoughts underlying them.
In consultation with my editorial board, I created a simple way to donate any amount — small or large — for those who wish to do so. Let me make clear that I have a full-time, private sector job that thankfully supports my family, even in these difficult times (I do not work as a rabbi, although many people I meet seem to think I do).
I spend a tremendous amount of time working on Torah Musings — writing original essays, coordinating and editing contributions, and compiling the Daily Reyd. Additionally, I do almost all of the coding and graphics myself (although in the past Efraim Vaynman and my daughter Deena Englard contributed). Hosting the website costs about $500 a year.
In the top right of the screen, there is an icon for buying me a cup of coffee. If you believe it appropriate, please click on the icon and donate via Paypal even a small amount, e.g. the cost of a cup of coffee ($3). You can set monthly donations, as well. (Note that this is not a tax deductible donation.)
Those who contribute $100 or more at one time will be sent, if they want, a free copy of Search Engine 1 or Search Engine 2 (you have to email me to provide shipping details and choice of volume)
The icon looks like this, but you have to click on the one on the top right of this website under the search box, not the one below.
Thank you,
Gil Student
