Rabbi Gil Student is the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of TorahMusings.com, a leading website on Orthodox Jewish scholarly subjects, and the Book Editor of the Orthodox Union’s Jewish Action magazine.   1. Secular studies in Shas schools — pardon my ignorance, but what’s the current thinking about teaching biology (evolution, human reproduction)? How is this handled in the Dati schools?

  2. Not relevant to any of the articles posted here, but I would be very interested if you could create a post (or link to one) discussing whether there is a halakhic basis for allowing PM Sharon to lie in state for two days before kevura. Thanks.
